FRANK DRUMMOND
MD, MBA, President

In 2006 Dr. Drummond began a start up company in Aix en Provence France, Bazile Telecom, bringing a single button cell phone handset for older users to the market.
He was responsible for oversight of product and service development, manufacturing, distribution, and marketing and sales. Dr Drummond raised 2 million euros to facilitate the development phase. Bazile Telecom is the industry standard for cell phones for the elderly in France and is now widely available and profitable.

Dr Drummond previously worked in hospital administration supervising over 500 employees and managing a budget of over
20 million dollars. He is a board certified psychiatrist and completed an MBA at INSEAD, a top 10 ranked international program, where he focused on product development and marketing.



BILL COLOMB
MD, Development

Dr Bill Colomb (Dr Bill as we call him) brings extensive clinical experience and specialises
in child and adolescent psychiatry, working extensively with childhood disorders, attachment issues, and as a family therapist. Dr Bill has an extensive network within the business community and was instrumental
in raising the initial angel investment in mimijumi. Dr Bill actively coordinates physician and lactation specialist networks
as a key referral source.

Dr Bill and Dr Frank met in medical school and started thinking about changing the world one improved product at a time.



LUKAS SCHERRER
Design Director

After graduating from University of Art and Design Zurich, Lukas deepened his understanding of design working in architecture and in the world of luxury
goods at Bally. At IDEO he demonstrated
his creative capacity by designing
experiences for clients in the medical
industry, consumer electronics for Western Digital and Samsung, furniture and spatial experiences for Steelcase.

Lukas teaches the craft of Industrial Design and Innovation as a guest lecturer at the California College of Art in San Francisco and at the University of Art and Design in Basel, Switzerland. He sits on the nominating committee of the Swiss Design Awards and has won international design awards such as the IDSA/IDEA, IF, Spark, and Best of Neocon.

After the successful launch of the Bazile telecom handset Lukas designed, Frank
asked Lukas to be part of mimijumi.


Chairman - Mike Kendrick
 
Mike Kendrick is a serial entrepreneur with a long a successful track record of growing and developing businesses and major international brands.
 
He has held a number of executive positions in marketing and PR including Managing Director and shareholder of Good Relations, part of what was then the largest PR consultancy in the UK, and the first company of its type to secure a public listing. His clients included The American Embassy, The Swedish Steel corperation, Alvis cars.
 
In 1988 he then formed the Virgin Airship and Balloon Company with Sir Richard Branson which became the world’s largest aerial advertising agency, operating over seventy aircraft in more than twenty countries. In this capacity he was retained by leading international companies including Goodyear, Budweiser, Met Life, Sanyo, Mazda, Orange, and Pepsi Cola.
 
He was also Project Director for Sir Richard Branson’s high profile world record attempts, and more recently established The Mineseeker Foundation, personally recruiting eminent patrons including Nelson Mandela, Queen Noor, and Lord Attenborough.


Geoff Mackay
MCIM MBA

Geoff has helped some of the biggest healthcare players across Europe deliver innovative health and wellbeing solutions to Doctors, Pharmacists, patients and carers.

Embracing technology as a key business enabler he was responsible for delivering
one of the earliest commercial uses of the Internet – a project that allowed pharmacists to better serve their patients by directly managing relationships with key drug suppliers.

Working as an independent consultant he
has helped develop organisations ranging in size from small start-ups producing bespoke products through to government departments changing the health landscape of a nation.

Gaining his MBA (with distinction) from Warwick Business School he maintains an interest in business education and works
with students developing and pitching ideas.


Commercial Director – Mark Dorey
B.Sc(Econ)
 

Mark Dorey is an internationally experienced Commercial Director having held senior positions at a wide spectrum of companies ranging from blue chip organisations to growing and developing entrepreneurial businesses.  
 
Having trained as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers),
Mark worked as Group Financial Controller for KLP Group Plc, a listed marketing services group, in charge of mergers and acquisitions, where he also was responsible
for turning round several underperforming subsidiaries and overseeing the restructuring of the group.  
 
Subsequently he has worked with major global brands including PepsiCo, in the UK, Spain and Turkey, and was Commercial Director of a number Virgin companies where he established businesses in Singapore and Brazil. Mark was responsible for corporate development in the USA and across Europe, as well as successfully launching the business in South Africa. During this time he also built Virgin Balloon Flights into a major UK retail business selling over 10,000 vouchers per annum.
   
Prior to his current role, Mark acted as Managing Director of a number of companies in the media, marketing and events sector, successfully handling projects both in the UK and overseas.
 
Mark graduated from the London School of Economics in 1985 with a BSc in Economics and Finance, but also holds and advanced level Diploma in Spanish from the University of Salamanca.
